In the historical medical texts of China, while the names of dosage measurement units are generally similar, the specific weights and quantities often vary significantly due to the changes in dynasties and reforms. Generally speaking, ancient measurements tend to be smaller than modern ones.

The TCM-ADIP database contains many ancient prescriptions. When applying these in practice, the determination of dosages should primarily rely on modern clinical experience. Below are some research materials concerning the comparison of ancient and modern measurement systems, provided for reference only. Some converted figures may have slight adjustments after recalculation.
